Psoriasis: The Itch

Plaque psoriasis is a common condition that classically causes red plaques with fine silvery scale. These red spots tend to be itchy, and psoriasis comes from the Greek word “psora,” which means to itch.

This itchy sloth has psoriasis, derived from the greek word for “itch.” Perhaps he is related to the other sloth, as 40% of patients with psoriasis have a first-degree relative with the condition.
